IT’S 8% FOR NPF MEMBERS: MINISTER MANEMAHAGA

Minister of Finance and Treasury Hon. Trevor Manemahaga has officially announced 8% crediting rate for its members at the Heritage Park Hotel in Honiara on Tuesday 30th of September 2025.

The SINPF Board approved the 8% for its members that will be applied to their NPF account balances on 30 June 2024 and credited to their accounts on 30th September 2025.

Speaking on the status of country’s economy, the recovery was spearheaded by the hosting of the 2023 Pacific Games, major international and regional events, that trigger a sound economic management to brought back our economy to positive territory. 

Minister Manemahaga reiterated that the SINPF CEO’s financial overview of the Fund’s financial performance for the financial year ended 30 June 2025, I noted that key parts of the Fund’s investment portfolio have performed strongly despite external market and industry volatility.

“I also noted the business fundamental of SINPF assets are strong and firm and has contributed strongly to an award I will shortly be declaring”, Minister Manemahaga.

He said a total interest of $274,908,240 was credited to members accounts as from 30 September 2025.

As part of the Fund’s annual announcement Minister Manemahaga also announced a special death benefit (SDB) of $10,000.  This is an increase of $1,500 on 2024 amount of $8,500.

He commended the SINPF Board, management, and staff of the Fund for looking after and managing NPF members’ fund prudently. He understands as Fund Managers you have a great responsibility to keep members’ funds safe and grow for their retirement and old age.
