SINPF 40th Anniversary Celebration
The Solomon Islands National Provident Fund will mark its 40th years of services to the People of Solomon Islands this week.
As such a celebration day to commemorate SINPF contribution and commitment will be organized on Friday 11th November 2016 starting from 8 am to 5 pm at the SMI grounds opposite Town Ground plaza. The Board, management and staff of SINPF wish to invite its valued members and the public to come along and join the celebrations.
The commemoration event will be graced by the presence of past employees, Board members and of course VIPs.
When Anthony Saru brought the bill before the governing council in 1976 to set up a provident fund he never dreamed that after 4 decades it will become one of the largest organizations in Solomon Islands that provided employment for hundreds of Solomon Islanders through the Fund and its different subsidiaries.
“This one-time event is a very big milestone in the progress of the Fund and its contributions to national development,” said Manasseh Taloafiri; Manager Human Resources and Corporate Services who is also the Chairman of the anniversary committee. “We are excited to host and celebrate this event basically to salute and acknowledge the dream of one man and how it changes lives. We are also happy to give credit to great men and women who have served the people of Solomon Islands through the Fund in the past.”
SINPF has grown over the years and now have 7 subsidiaries and more than 170,000 members.
A march to kick start the program will begin at SINPF car park. All affiliates will assemble there and begin the parade at 7am to SMI grounds.
