SAMOA NPF hosts dinner for regional CEOs

Chief Executive Officer for Samoa National Provident Fund Pauli Prince Suhren was hosting a welcome dinner on the 3rd of September 2019 for CEOs from various National provident in the Pacific including Australia and New Zealand at the Sheraton Hotel in Apia, Samoa.

Speaking at the welcome reception yesterday, coming together annually for the Pacific Islands Investment Forum PIIF is a tremendous opportunity to build networks and to meet with reputable international organizations such as World Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Finance Corporation, DFAT and others.

Samoa Prime Minister Opens Pacific Islands Investment Forum

September 3rd  - Samoan Prime Minister Tuilaepa Aiono Sailele Malielegaoi officially opens the 2nd Pacific Island Investment Forum ( PIIF) in Samoa Capital in Apia.

Delivering his keynote address, Prime Minister Malielegaoi said the government of Samoa through National Provident Fund is hosting the 2nd Pacific Island Investment Forum (PIIF).

He said PIIF is an annual Forum that brings together the Chief Executive Officers from all the Funds across the Pacific.

SINPF AND MOBILE NETWORK OPERATERS (MNO’s) TO PILOT AIR TIME SERVICE FOR youSave CUSTOMERS SOON

An innovative digital financial service pilot project for enhancing access to finance and enabling financial inclusion for the informal sector in the Solomon Islands is in its final stages of implementation by the Solomon Islands National Provident Fund (SINPF).  This is to enable the use of mobile Airtime (Top Up) to make deposit payments directly into the youSave accounts of customers.  Currently “youSave” is a very popular retirement savings product for the informal sector of Solomon Islands that was launched in 2017 by SINPF and is supported by the Australian High Commission’s Department Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) and the United National Capital Development Fund (UNCDF).
