SINPF Board Underpins Media Role in Solomon Islands

Manager Human Resource Corparate Services Manasseh Taloafirii handed over cheque of $5000.00 to MASI president Charles Kadamana with his vice Douglas Marau

Solomon Islands National Provident Fund (SINPF) Board has donated five thousand dollars to Media Association of Solomon Islands MASI on 15th of November, 2019, receiving the Cheque is MASI president Charles Kadamana with his vice Douglas Marau.

 Manager Human Resource Corporate Services Manasseh Taloafiri when presenting the Cheque, he said on behalf of SINPF Board the donation confirms SINPF recognizing the role of media in Solomon Islands to inform and educate the public on issues that is happening in the country and abroad.

Manager HRCS said SINPF commends the pivotal role of media through informing the citizenry on information about the fund particularly on the radio, print media, and TV to the members to understand the functions and operations of SINPF.

He said it is important for MASI and Solomon Islands as a whole to host the Pacific Islands News Association (PNA) Summit next year in May. This summit will bolster level of local reporters/journalists to become professionals in their area of reporting.

In reply the MASI president Charles Kadamana adds, on behalf of MASI executive “we commend SINPF donation as a clear manifestation of SINPF cordial relationship with the media to advocate the fund’s role to the people of Solomon Islands, thus media is an accurate medium. 

Kadamana said the summit will bring around two- hundred plus journalists from various countries in the pacific and it is a good news for the nation as a host.
