For a bit of history the donations in Kind program, run by Rotary International Australia, provides humanitarian aid through the provision of donated goods. Rotary International Australia receives donated goods from hospitals, libraries, schools, Rotary Clubs and other groups, and then sorts, packs, and distributes them to countries in need.
The Rotary Club of Honiara in the past distributed a variety of donated goods from Rotary International’s Donations in Kind program to those in need in the Solomon Islands.
Donated goods included school equipment such as toys, books, bookshelves, computers, student desks and chairs, teachers desks, as well as bed frames and mattresses, and medical supplies.
