Crediting Rate

The annual return credited to member accounts, declared by the Board after each financial year.

The crediting rate is the rate of return applied to member account balances each year. It reflects the Fund's investment performance after operating costs and reserving requirements.

How the rate is determined

At the end of each financial year, the Board reviews the Fund's investment income across the domestic, international, and property portfolios. A portion is set aside to strengthen reserves; the remainder is credited to member accounts as the crediting rate.
