Overview of Member Benefits

Your SINPF contributions build a reliable financial foundation. As a registered member, you enjoy key long-term benefits:

  • Compound Interest Growth: Annual interest credited directly to your account balances, growing your retirement fund over time.
  • Financial Protection: Full access to your total contributions and accumulated interest upon reaching eligibility thresholds.
  • Special Death Benefit (SDB): Financial assistance paid to nominated beneficiaries alongside your account balance in the event of your passing prior to full withdrawal.

Withdrawal Grounds & Eligibility

Members may apply for partial or full withdrawal under specific statutory grounds outlined in the SINPF Act:

Medical Incapacity

Member is certified physically or mentally incapacitated and unable to continue working.

Member is permanently leaving Solomon Islands with valid permanent residency/citizenship in another country.

Complete payment made all at once

Death Claim

Member passes away prior to withdrawing funds; paid to validly nominated beneficiaries.

Step-by-Step Claim Application Process

Follow these steps to submit a complete withdrawal request and prevent delays in processing:

  1. Gather Required Documents: Ensure all documentation is valid and certified.
  • Official National ID, Passport, or Birth Certificate.
  • Active Bank Account details (Confirmation letter or stamped bank statement).
  • Supporting grounds-based documents (e.g., Termination/Redundancy letter, Medical Board certificate, or Permanent Residency visa).

2. Complete the Withdrawal Form: Select the form matching your specific withdrawal ground.

Download or collect the relevant withdrawal application form from any SINPF branch or resource. Fill out all required fields accurately, including your SINPF Membership Number.

3. Submit Your Claim: In-person or authorized representative submission.

Submit your completed application form alongside certified copies of your supporting documents to your nearest SINPF office.

4. Claim Verification & Payment: Processing and direct bank transfer.

The Fund verifies your employment records and eligibility. Once approved, funds are transferred directly into your verified bank account.

Important Member Reminders

  • Keep Your Nominations Up to Date: Completing or updating your Nomination Form (NPF8) ensures your savings are distributed smoothly to your chosen beneficiaries (up to 4 individuals) without lengthy legal delays.
  • Re-employment after Retirement: Members who withdraw funds at age 50+ and subsequently return to formal employment will be re-registered to resume contributions under SINPF regulations.
  • Avoid Fraudulent Claims: Providing false information or forged documents on withdrawal applications is a punishable offense under the SINPF Act.
